Private Equity and Venture Capital

 

This class develops the concepts of Venture Capital and Private Equity inside the context of Financial Economics, Corporate Finance and Business Strategy. It also aims at improving applied knowledge in regard to institutions and their practices in PE&VC, both nationally and internationally. The class also examines the entrepreneurs’ role, the nature of contracts between entrepreneurs and general partners and also between GPs and institutional investors. Other topics covered are the processes of obtaining returns on investments made.

 

 

Corporate Governance

 

This class introduces main topics, practices and regulatory issues on Corporate Governance, while also offering ample space for discussion and for analysis of related strategic and managerial issues. The class utilizes case studies, comparative analysis of Corporate Governance models in different countries and empirical and theoretical evidence linking Corporate Governance and business performance.

Master Class in Private Equity & Venture Capital

 

The Master Class in PE&VC is a Professional Advancement program, covering a broad range of international standard material. It also covers simulating creations, negotiating the entry of a PE investor on invested companies and building and strategically monitoring portfolios. The class also includes workshop sessions conducted by experienced professionals; discussed topics involve many aspects of the PE&VC investment process.

The Introduction to Private Equity and Venture Capital for Entrepreneurs is a complete initiation to Private Equity and Venture Capital for entrepreneurs. With 40 hours of duration, its content is structured in 8 modules which cover the following topics: Entrepreneurship and Private Equity & Venture Capital; General Industry Characteristics and Fund-Raising Aspects; Private Equity & Venture Capital Business Profile; Investments and Entrepreneurs’ Alternative Investments Analysis; Investment Process and Contractual Aspects; Management and Continuous Monitoring, Disinvestment & Profit and Case Study.
