NEJ concentrates its research efforts on three of great relevance for the PE&VC industry. These are, succinctly:
- •   private agents, contracts and agreements;
- •   relationship between markets and regulatory and self-regulatory agencies;
- •   relationship between markets and legislation.

About this unit
GVcepe’s Legal Studies Group (Núcleo de Estudos JurÃdicos, N.E.J., in Portuguese) is the unit responsible for the development of legal research relevant for the Private Equity and Venture Capital industry in Brazil. This unit was founded in June 2011 by Prof. Adalberto Brandão. Through our activities, we aim to contribute effectively towards Brazil’s economic growth, studying the legal tools available for the Private Equity and Venture Capital industry, while identifying trustworthy, dependable solutions and delivering relevant subsidies for the national industry’s development.
We aim to become an international reference, both academically and professionally, in all legal discussions on Private Equity and Venture Capital.
