Technical Studies
Our Projects
The Technical Studies unit is actively involved and greatly responsible for many of GVcepe’s major publications. Below follows a brief description of all projects under our unit’s authorship.
Overview of the Brazilian Private Equity and Venture Capital Industry
The Overview of the Brazilian PE&VC Industry is a publication released periodically by GVcepe. In each new edition, it aims to update and deepen current understanding of the Brazilian PE&VC industry, while promoting the development of new analytical methods based on the most relevant and demanded information about the Industry.
GVcepe PE&VC Industry Guide
This publication was first released in 2007. Its objective is to divulge all general partners involved in PE&VC in Brazil. It stands out for being extremely comprehensive and for including all of the information on each active firm in Brazil. The GVcepe PE&VC Guide is an important reference tool for entrepreneurs, national and international investors, other investment professionals and additional agents of the PE&VC ecosystem.
GVcepe Deal Monitor
The GVcepe Deal Monitor is a report that strives to produce a complete mapping of transactions – or deals – of investments and harvesting regarding all private equity and venture capital general partners in Brazil.
Census of the Brazilian Private Equity and Venture Capital Industry
The Census of the Brazilian PE&VC Industry, currently in its second edition, is the most relevant source of high-quality information on the PE&VC Industry ever released in Brazil. With over 140 general partners surveyed, it is also the most comprehensive and profound research ever conducted in this industry, regarding the Brazilian context. The massive amount of information provided includes: the structure of general partners, investors, the nature of investment funds, investee companies, corporate governance practices, and more. The publication also incorporates detailed information on all investment cycle stages, from fundraising to exits, including returns.
